Conference on “Air Quality and Energy Efficiency”
The conference on “Air quality and energy efficiency” was held on 20 – 21 November 2019. The meeting was attended by representatives of municipalities and counties, Ecomanagers, as well as scientists and entrepreneurs. The organisers of the event prepared thematic sessions where speakers from research centres, industry and local governments had the opportunity to present their achievements. At the conference, they presented the results of innovative research, the latest technologies for climate protection, as well as tasks related to tasks related to air protection performed by local governments.
The conference was officially opened by Tomasz Urynowicz, Vice-Marshal of the Małopolska Region, and Professor Tadeusz Tatara, Vice-Chancellor for Science, Krakow University of Technology.
On the first day, there were thematic panels, which raised issues such as local government action in the field of air protection, heating in reducing emissions and air quality in Poland. The speakers included the Chief Inspector of Environmental Protection – Paweł Ciećko, a representative of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology – Paweł Jaczewski, and a representative of CEZ Elektrownia Skawina – Dariusz Łapiński.
On the second day of the conference, the winners of the competition “Innovation in energy-efficient construction – the key to success” presented themselves, which was an accompanying event to the conference.
The conference was co-organised within the framework of the integrated LIFE project “Implementation of the Air Quality Plan for the Małopolska Region – Malopolska in a healthy atmosphere”.
The event was held under the honorary patronage of Vice-Marshal Tomasz Urynowicz.
