My Electricity 6.0 – funding for photovoltaics with new rules
On 2 September, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management opened the call for applications for the sixth edition of the My Current programme. New financial opportunities for better energy subsidies have therefore opened up for the residents of Małopolska as well.
Who can benefit from the grant?
Prosumers who have incurred expenditure on their photovoltaic installations after 1 January 2021 can apply for support. The condition for the subsidy is that the prosumer is net-billing.
The subsidy that can be received is no more than 50% of the eligible costs.
What does the funding cover?
The rules and scope of the subsidy depend on the date the installation is connected to the electricity grid.
Photovoltaic micro-installations submitted for connection to the electricity grid by 31 July 2024
- the purchase of additional equipment (energy storage or heat storage) is not mandatory – funding can be obtained for the photovoltaics alone.
- the power of the installation should be between 2 kW and 10 kW.
Photovoltaic micro-installations declared for grid connection as of 1 August 2024
- connection to energy storage or heat storage – a necessary condition for subsidy
- The output of the installation should be between 2 kW and 20 kW
- the energy storage must be permanently installed in the building where the photovoltaic is installed. Mobile energy stores are not eligible for subsidy.
Various devices that qualify for a photovoltaic micro-installation can be reported for funding, including roof coverings with a photovoltaic function, canopies and carports containing PV cells, photovoltaic balcony sets. All photovoltaic installations reported for funding must be connected to the electricity grid.
Important: only new equipment is subsidised.
The power of all renewable energy installations owned by the prosumer, including the photovoltaic micro-installation and energy storage, must not exceed 50 kW in total.
How much funding can be provided?
The programme budget is PLN 400 million from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021-2027.
Funding amounts:
- Photovoltaic micro-installation – PLN 6,000 (only for installations submitted for connection by 31 July 2024).
- Photovoltaic micro-installation with additional device – PLN 7,000 + subsidy for additional device.
- Subsidy for additional device:
- Energy storage – PLN 16,000
- Heat storage – PLN 5,000
When can an application be submitted?
The call for applications runs from 2 September to 20 December 2024 or until funds are exhausted.
Where can an application be submitted?
The application is submitted electronically using the Grant Application Generator – https://gwd.nfosigw.gov.pl/
