“My Water” – the third edition of the water retention support program

Aiming to combat the effects of the drought and minimize the risk of flooding, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) has announced the launch of the third edition of the “My Water” program. The measure aims to support owners of single-family homes by providing grants for the creation of rainwater retention systems.

The main objective of the program

The program is designed to protect water resources by increasing retention on private properties and using collected rainwater and snowmelt. Retention of rainwater on subsidized properties. As a result, rainwater or melting snow from the property will not be discharged outside its boundaries (for example, into sewers or streets).

New call for applications

The third edition of the “My Water” program brings new opportunities for participants, offering grants of up to PLN 6 thousand, covering a maximum of 80% of eligible investment costs.

This update is a significant step forward compared to previous editions, in which the maximum grant amount was PLN 5 thousand.

Who can benefit?

As with previous editions, the “My Water” program is intended for individuals who are owners, co-owners or perpetual usufructuaries of real estate on which a single-family residential building is located. It is worth noting that the program excludes properties that have already received support under previous editions.

Support for a variety of solutions

Subsidies will be available for the purchase, installation, construction, commissioning of the following installations:

  • for collecting rainwater or snowmelt from roofs, sidewalks, driveways (e.g. catch basins, drains, gutters, etc.);
  • for storing rainwater in tanks (e.g., sealed underground and aboveground tanks, etc.);
  • for retention of rainwater including snowmelt in the ground (e.g., open tanks);
  • for retention of rainwater on roofs – “green roofs”;
