Ecomanagers in Małopolska improve their qualifications!

The Małopolska Voivodeship organised the third edition of postgraduate studies in air protection and energy. More than 30 employees from 27 municipalities in Małopolska started studying. The next edition of these highly popular studies is a response to the need to deepen knowledge in the field of air protection. Previous editions educated 116 students.

The studies are dedicated to the employees in municipalities working in the field of energy and air quality. The studies provide a valuable forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience among those involved in air protection activities. The studies will be conducted by the Faculty of Energy and Fuels of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow together with partners such as, among others, the Krakow University of Technology and the “Miękinia” Institute for Sustainable Energy.

Over the course of a year, students will acquire technical knowledge in areas such as air protection, renewable energy sources, energy efficiency or local energy planning. In addition to lectures, study participants will be able to take an active part in exercises and practical activities useful in their daily work. It should be remembered that the work of an Eco-managers is also about being active in the field and undertaking promotional and educational activities. Therefore, workshops on self-presentation, public speaking or conducting negotiations and effective social communication will be an important part of the training.

The organisation of postgraduate studies is one of the Region’s tasks carried out as part of the LIFE Integrated Project “Implementation of the Air Quality Plan for the Małopolska Region – Malopolska in a healthy atmosphere”, co-financed from the LIFE programme of the European Union.
