European Union subsidises initiatives for local communities

Climate, urban mobility, food and manufacturing – in these areas, stakeholders and consortia can apply for funding through the Connect New European Bauhaus and Co-Create New European Bauhaus (NEB) competitions.

The aim of the competitions is to promote solutions and initiatives that respond to challenges identified by the local community and to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between people.

Projects must integrate NEB’s three core values: sustainability, social inclusion and aesthetics.

The supported areas of action are:

  • reconnecting with nature;
  • regaining a sense of community and belonging;
  • prioritising places and the people who need them most;
  • the need for long-term, integrated thinking in the industrial ecosystem.

All proposals must address at least one of the areas listed.

Competitions are open to all legal entities from EU Member States) and/or third countries associated with Horizon Europe.

These may include public or private entities, small and medium-sized enterprises, educational institutions, research and technology organisations, consultancies, NGOs or social actors.

Applications can be submitted:

  • Until 26 September 2024, 5 p.mConnect New European Bauhaus competition,
  • Until 10 October 2024, 5 p. mCo-Create New European Bauhaus competition.
