Funding for Małopolska municipalities to support the poorest people to replace of-class boilers

On 28 April 2025, the Małopolska Regional Assembly adopted Resolution No. XVII/226/25 on granting subsidies to 50 Małopolska municipalities to support the poorest people by replacing off-class boilers.

‘We cannot leave residents with the problem of an unchanged cooker and high heating costs. Thanks to this programme, the poorest residents of Małopolska region will receive real help and we will all gain cleaner air. This is a step towards a healthier and greener future for our region.’

-emphasises Deputy Marshal Ryszard Pagacz.

The aim of the programme is to provide municipalities in the Małopolska Voivodship with funding to support the poorest people in replacing off-class boilers, which are one of the causes of air pollution in the region. The programme aims to improve air quality by eliminating old, inefficient cookers that emit harmful substances into the atmosphere.

As part of the distribution of funds, support will go to 50 municipalities from the Małopolskie Voivodeship. The total amount of co-financing is PLN 5 million. Each commune on the basic list will receive PLN 100,000 in support.
